Two leading Swansea solicitors firms, Beor Wilson Lloyd and Peter Williams & Co have announced they are joining forces in an exciting new merger.

The firms have a combined experience of nearly 300 years of providing top-class legal advice and representation.

In a joint statement, the firms believe the merger will give their clients a superior service across a wide range of legal areas.

The two long standing and trusted Swansea firms can now provide an enhanced and expanded range of services to all of their clients, delivering even greater experience and specialism.

Geoffrey Rees, Managing Partner at BWL, said: “We at BWL have modernised significantly over recent years and see this merger as an exciting opportunity to further grow and develop. Peter Williams & Co are a long established reputable and highly thought of legal practice which we believe will complement the legal service that we already provide”.

“David Jones of Peter Williams & Co. has a wealth of experience in trusts, charity work and commercial property and will further strengthen the overall service provided by both firms”.

“There are mutual benefits for both parties, as well as significant advantages for the clients of both firms.”

David Norton, Partner at Peter Williams & Co, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be joining forces.”

“A larger firm gives partners, staff and clients more security at a time when there is so much uncertainty in the legal profession. We are all motivated to overcome the challenges facing the profession, and believe that we are in a better position to do so as a result of the merger,” said Paul Bevan, Partner at BWL.

Both firms boast a wealth of experience highlighted by the fact that David Jones, (Partner at Peter Williams & Co), is the current President of the Swansea & District Law Society, having taken over from the previous President, Geoffrey Rees, Managing Partner at BWL.

Following the merger, the new firm will operate from two sites across Swansea, Calvert House on Calvert Terrace/Mansel Street and “Ethos”, Kings Road, SA1.
